Choose for the space and its use
Tell us how the room is used, the appearance you prefer and any relevant performance requirements. Laminate, vinyl and engineered timber are different materials. A similar wood effect does not make their installation, moisture tolerance or care requirements interchangeable. Confirm the exact product reference before ordering.
Consider the supporting surface and finished height
Share photographs and information about the existing floor, the supporting surface and any heating or cooling system. Preparation and underlay are assessed for the selected product. Coordinate the finished height with doors, stairs and adjoining rooms; underlay is not a universal remedy for an unsuitable base.
Define the complete quotation
Identify measured areas, layout, agreed allowance, underlay, skirting and transition profiles. State whether you need materials, fitting or both. If work is requested, clarify removal, disposal, moving furniture, access and protection. Availability, delivery and the programme are confirmed for the actual enquiry.
Keep approval and handover clear
Agree the product reference and sample before procurement. At delivery, check the supplied reference and visible condition before fitting. Record the agreed finish, care information and any outstanding work at handover. Product and workmanship warranty terms are specified separately, with the order reference retained for support.
Global expertise, supply shaped around your project
We assess the nearest suitable region alongside technical capability, product specification, quality, capacity and your programme. The supply or manufacturing location, site support and logistics responsibilities are confirmed in the proposal. Distance is one consideration within a coordinated project decision.
We stand behind our work
We stand behind the building materials and furniture we supply and the installation work we carry out. Warranty coverage, duration, start date and conditions are specified for each product and work package in the quotation and contract.
Product and installation warranties are defined separately. For support, contact info@mpandoglobal.com with the order or project reference, affected item, delivery date and a description of the issue. Applicable statutory rights remain unaffected.
Work through the details before you order
What should a laminate supply-and-fit quotation include?
Send the property location, approximate room dimensions, intended use, photographs of the existing floor and your preferred finish. The quotation should distinguish flooring and agreed spare material, underlay, subfloor checks and preparation, removal where required, fitting, trims and skirting, delivery and waste removal. These items are not automatically included together; MFABER records the agreed scope so you can compare quotations on the same basis.
Will the new floor affect internal doors and thresholds?
The proposed flooring and underlay change the finished floor level. Existing door clearances, transitions to other rooms and threshold details therefore need checking before the order is confirmed. Tell us whether doors or skirting are being replaced at the same time. Any adjustment to a rated doorset must follow its specific requirements; trimming a door is not an automatic part of flooring installation.
How do I compare flooring prices quoted per square metre, square foot or pack?
Compare quotations using the same area unit and the same scope. The measured room area is not necessarily the purchase quantity: the chosen layout, agreed cutting allowance, spare boards and full-pack quantities affect the order. Check the coverage stated for the exact product pack. Ask whether the price includes underlay, preparation, fitting, trims, delivery and any applicable taxes. MFABER records the agreed quantities and scope in the proposal so a material-only price is not mistaken for the completed floor cost.
Can I steam-clean or polish laminate flooring?
Check the current care instructions for the exact product before choosing a cleaner or machine. Water-resistant ranges can have different conditions from other laminates; a wood-effect finish or a general waterproof description is not permission to use steam, polish or wax. Follow the approved products, equipment and cleaning method for the supplied range. If the reference is unclear, send MFABER the order or product details and photographs so we can help identify the relevant care information before you proceed.
What must be checked before fitting laminate over underfloor heating?
Check the exact flooring, underlay and heating system together. Their combined thermal resistance, permitted operating conditions and the manufacturer's installation instructions determine suitability. Include any cooling function in the enquiry because condensation control requires separate attention. Send MFABER the product references and heating details; the proposed build-up and any preparation are agreed before ordering, rather than assuming every laminate and underlay combination will work.
Can water-resistant laminate be used in a bathroom or wet room?
Check the selected range and the actual exposure. Resistance to surface spills does not by itself establish suitability for a shower area, standing water or a room with a floor drain. Edge details, joints, maintenance and the product's permitted applications matter. Tell MFABER how the room is used and where water may reach the floor so the proposed material and fitting scope can be assessed before purchase.
Should fitted kitchen units and an island go in before the laminate?
Agree the sequence before fitting. Fixed units can restrict a floating floor's movement; their footprint and fixing details need checking against the selected flooring instructions. Send MFABER the kitchen layout and island details so cabinetry, flooring and finishing work can be coordinated in the quotation.
Can I run the same laminate through an open-plan kitchen, hallway and living room?
The same décor does not automatically allow one uninterrupted floor. Room dimensions, doorways and movement requirements determine whether transition profiles are needed. Share a dimensioned plan and your preferred appearance; MFABER can assess the layout and include the agreed profiles and fitting details in the proposal.
