Scope

Assess residential, workplace, retail and hospitality fit-out through defined work packages, material decisions, site interfaces and acceptance points.

Read the existing condition first

Plans, photographs, substrates, services, access, continued occupancy and the target period should be reviewed together. A proposal based only on visible finishes can hide removal, repair and interface risks that emerge after work begins.

Separate packages and interfaces

Partitions, ceilings, plaster, paint, flooring, fitted furniture, electrical, mechanical and final cleaning are described as distinct scopes. The condition for handing work from one discipline to another is agreed during planning, not improvised on site.

Handover is more than a final photograph

Samples, finish tolerances, colour or texture approvals, protected areas, outstanding items and care information need defined checkpoints. The acceptance record should use the same scope language as the proposal.

Is “turnkey” a sufficient scope description?

No. Design, permissions, removal, services, works, supply, waste, cleaning and acceptance responsibilities must be itemised so every party understands the same boundary.

Is a site survey always required before the first proposal?

Some projects can receive an early assessment from plans and photographs; a binding scope may require a survey or verified site information. The method is set for each project.

Who manages local permissions and regulations?

Responsibility varies by country, project and contract. The feasibility review records who owns the required permissions and qualifications; no automatic permitting service is implied.
